(ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.) – St. Johns Golf & Country Club – the well-respected Indigo Golf Partners owned facility nestled in between Jacksonville and St. Augustine – recently broke ground on an exciting clubhouse renovation and expansion to be completed summer 2020.
The $2.5 million project will be completed in two phases. Phase one includes a new reception hall, grand event lawn, fire pit and social area, outdoor patio bar and deck overlooking the water and expanded kitchen. Phase two will feature a complete renovation of the existing restaurant, dining room and foyer.
“We are very excited to break ground on this unique project,” says Ben Pasquith, general manager of St. Johns Golf & Country Club. “The renovation and expansion will transform the social experience for our members and guests and positions the club as the premier golf and special events destination in northeast Florida.”
St. Johns hired New Leaf Construction, a well-respected builder in north Florida, to oversee the construction. The “Farmhouse Industrial” design will bring a fresh vibrancy to the club and tie nicely into the existing facilities to create a fun and comfortable environment.
“Our goal is to make the design a reality,” says Fred DeWitt, vice president of New Leaf Construction. “The combination of the dynamic spaces and beautiful setting will create an experience unlike any other in the area.”
Indigo Golf Partners celebrated its 30th anniversary of full-service course management in 2019. Of the 21 Indigo Golf Partners-managed courses in Florida, others in the Jacksonville area include Bent Creek Golf Course, Brentwood Golf Course and Fernandina Beach Golf Club.
