Meet our Events Manager, Jessica Hurckes
You’ve heard of a “Head Pro” at a golf course, but have you heard of a “Wedding Pro”? Well, St. Johns Golf and Country Club is proud to have both and we’d love to introduce you to the latter. Meet Jessica Hurckes, our Events Manager here at St. Johns. She’s been part of our St. Johns family for seven years and is our onsite expert on all things WEDDING!
Growing up, Jessica competed in gymnastics and went to college for vocal, theater and dance. After college, she joined the Jaguars as an NFL cheerleader and toured and performed for our troops after 9/11 in the US and overseas. She’s married to her high school sweetheart, Jay. Isn’t that dreamy? They have a sweet family with 5 children who all have her love of music and theater, and names that start with the letter ‘J’!
When asked what she enjoys about weddings, Jessica says “I love the organizational aspect of wedding planning, putting everything together and seeing the process of the day run seamlessly. I love getting to know my couples and seeing the joy they have on their wedding day knowing they can just enjoy the moment and not worry about the details. Decorating is super fun too!”
Her advice to couples is: Always hold hands while going through the bumps and curves of life.
In the months leading up to your big day, Jessica will schedule a wedding planning meeting with you, followed by a tasting with Chef Alex. She will liaise with your vendor team and help with questions along the way. She’ll be here to perform a rehearsal the day before your wedding and on wedding day to coordinate your décor, ceremony and timeline. She is a wonder and exudes calm and a sense of humor no matter the situation.
We couldn’t wish for a better planner for our wedding couples and we are incredibly proud to have her as part our wedding team here at St. Johns Golf and Country Club. We hope you’ll love her too!
